All that Glitters, IS Gold

Acrylics on board (A1), 2015

I was watching National Geographic Channel, and there was a documentary about young poor Bangladeshi men that had to go into drainage pipes for houses of Goldsmiths within their areas, then scoop the sludge with buckets, clean and sift through in hopes of getting gold dust and pieces then melt them in order to resell them to the Goldsmiths in order to get paid and sustain their families.
The painting has gold dust sprinkled on it and when the light hits it, the gold dust glitters.
