Artist Darshan Singh Grewal is participating in an exhibition reflecting artists' conscience and their pursuit to portray it. Happening now!
Curator: Aakshat Sinha
Dates: December 16th - December 22nd, 2016
The conscience is an individual’s moral sense of right or wrong.
Textured, as an adjective, means to have a surface that is not smooth but coarse, or that it has a raised pattern.
An artist is also an individual, a very common individual. Special only because only an artist notices things like the abrasions on the skin or the smoothness of a grape vine and connects the texture on the surface to the character and atmosphere of an art work. Artists also come with a conscience. The ones that are honest to themselves create art works that reflect that. But an individual can never be completely honest for life changes us and adds textures to our character.
So finally our honest art starts to reflect who we were, who we have become, and who we aspired to be.
This exhibition is a collective display of such individual artistic endeavors. Art works reflecting the textured conscience of the artists and their muse.
There are about 70 art works by 20 featured artists (from India, Nepal, Thailand, USA, and UK) and 2 invited artists (from Russia) participating in the group show.
The exhibition was inaugurated at 6 pm on December 16th at AIFACS art gallery, in the gracious presence of Mr. Sergey Karmalito (Senior Consular, Embassy of Russian Federation in India), Senior artists, art lovers and members of the Media.
Each artist has been individually introduced on the Facebook event by the Curator. Link to the Facebook event:
