Monochrome Rose

Acrylic (16x20)

Being drawn to the roses in my mother's garden, I have many memories of my hands getting pricked by the thorns as a kid. These memories intertwine with Antoine de Saint Exupery's  "Little Prince", where a young prince falls in love with a capricious and ephemeral rose. A fox assures the prince that although there are many other roses in the world, there is none like the one he loves because they tamed each other.
