Thank you so much, Sarah. I would say both. My first experience after which I decided to create a series of work was from life. These four works are divided in half - the "Belly dance" and "Power" were painted while a model was dancing; the "Passion to dance" and "Dance like a flight" - from my imagination. However, I would say not exactly from imagination, but more from my memory. It is quiet challenging to paint a dancing figure from life, try to catch all movements, and I believe that these images stay in memory and like flashes of the light appear on the canvas.
