Alvarado Park, Richmond, CA
Oil (16x20)
This painting acknowledges the cultural amnesia that the the rocks and trunks in Alvarado Park have witnessed- from the pre-colonial days to the present- as the land is re-shifted, populations get diluted, and histories are misrepresented. The content of this piece humbly echoes what I learned from the art of hiking- be conscious of what you step on as you continue on your journey.
