Rainy Day
Acrylic on paper (27.5x19.5 inches)
Miniature painting has
always appealed to me. The works executed with meticulous
precision, for me, always required an attentive engagement to appreciate. And I wanted to do a similar kind
of work, dealing with subjects I live around; taking the language and articulating it in my own way. I also
wanted to break the upright format of a painting,
and to be seen from every side; with no particular
'this side up'. This was going to be tricky, but interesting
as well. It is the break between two
adjacent period. I tried to notice
the different gestures and expressions.
