Growing up in Santa Fe, NM, in a family of photographers and painters, I began analog photo when I was 13. In high school, I focused on portraiture and photojournalism, with many projects stemming from summers of traveling. In 2011, I began experimenting with alternative processes like tintypes, cyanotypes, and liquid emulsion. My most recent work was shot in Southeast Asia, Mexico, Cuba, and other places I visited during a year off before college. Tintypes are an especially difficult and tedious process, but I love the imperfections and individuality of each one.
