I was born and raised in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and am currently living in Berkeley and Santa Cruz, California. All of my parents work in careers that relate to or directly create art in some way. This is a large part of the reason I make art, and have been doing so as long as I can remember. Right now I am very interested in pattern work, particularly patterns that are organic or related to nature. I am very influenced by Art Nouveau; the complex and swirling lines of artists like Klimt, Gaudí, and Toulouse Lautrec have been inspiring me for years. Because of my intense focus on detail and linework, I work primarily with drawing materials (pen, colored pencil, marker, etc), but I also use acrylic paints, collage, and digital elements in many pieces.
