My works are an attempt to remember the memory of historical events which remain unheard and unheeded in the historical discourse of the region to which I belong. Such remembrance is not to put a larger discourse of history at work, but a very subjective intervention in it, which is molded by the childhood experiences of civil war in Afghanistan. Such search for words is an archaeological act in which I engage to bring back something which seems to be lost or buried in time. These works concern therefore the issues of historical burial of memories, and it attempts to engage with such burial so to dig it back.
