Creating is an affirmation of existence - this is the guiding principle behind my practice.

The main media I use include graphite, colored pencils, and ink on paper – the more worn and cheap the surface, the better. My aim is to convey rawness and directness, to embrace the ugly and imperfect. The pieces contain deeply personal symbols that map out emotional and mental landscapes, showing anthropomorphic or human figures, as well as far-off landscapes.

The subjects chosen and the mediums used go hand-in-hand to express my experience of being, of feeling. To exorcise an existential panic, I must draw. To exist authentically, to live fiercely, to abate an inner fever, I must draw.
