Jessica, I love how this turned out! It was incredible watching you in the process of painting. I especially love the closeness the audience can feel despite a first read of the exterior details, including his facial expression and the distance separating them. From the way that his torso is angled towards the horse and his hand is ready to reach out, the connection you speak of in your description is apparent but subtle.
