An international young artists exhibition   |   Bringing the global to Tanzania

The Last Image Show project aimed to challenge and deconstruct the ways in which societal conventions impose constraints on one’s ability to express his or her identity.

“The system of dominant social relations" claimed Brasilian educator Paulo Freire, "creates a Culture of Silence’ that instils a negative, silenced and suppressed self-image into the oppressed."

In the Last Image Show  in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, 35 young artists from 21 countries around the world explored the theme of 'SILENCE', in different contexts and from different perspectives, in a ground breaking international exhibition.
