  • This piece has really touched me. When I read the title, my mind began to race, trying to read this woman's expression.  It is so intense.  Hers is not a blind, naive hope. It is one that acknowledges difficulty, acknowledges injustice, acknowledges pain, and yet still has the courage to believe in the good of this world.  Thank you Nada, this is beautiful.

  • Your use of complementary colors here is very effective. The blue intensifies the orange tones and your use of blue throughout for highlights unifies the composition. Wonderful three dimensional form! Her eyes draw me in - I wonder what she is seeing, what she is thinking. It's a hauntingly beautiful portrait. Did you work from a live model, a sketch or a photograph?
