Atisbe al terruño (Glimpse the Terroir)

Lenguajes e imaginarios variados se evocan al querer describir historias que den cuenta lugares y gentes.
Dos técnicas de un mismo lenguaje, grabados en metal y linóleo funcionan como ventanas situadas en
distintos puntos y convergen en su contenido, invitan al espectador a mirar , a atisbar para lograr una impresión
de unos paisajes acaso imaginarios, hechos una tenue analogía de la variedad de miradas hacia realidades comunes
de la “nación”. Son distintas fuentes de referentes para la composición de estas imágenes que en conjunto tratan el tema,
relativo a la impresión de cotidianidad. Referentes del natural, de fotografías y del Internet, reuniendo elementos simbólicos
que apuntan a la reflexión de memoria e historia social. Este trabajo se posiciona en la versatilidad del concepto de país y nación,
en donde convergen bastas categorizaciones que rozan los conceptos de identidad, patriotismo e ideales de desarrollo, todo
enmarcado dentro del aura historicista que como república heredamos en un sentido desafortunado y estrictamente de orden vertical.

Various languages ​​and imaginations are evoked when you want to describe stories that tell of places and people.
Two techniques of the same language, engraved on metal and linoleum work as windows located at different points
and converge in their content, inviting the viewer to look, to glimpse to achieve an impression of perhaps imaginary landscapes,
made a tenuous analogy of the variety of glances towards common realities of the "nation". They are different sources of references
for the composition of these images that together deal with the subject, relative to the impression of everyday life. Referents from nature,
from photographs and from the Internet, gathering symbolic elements that point to the reflection of memory and social history.
This work is positioned in the versatility of the concept of country and nation, where vast categorizations that border on the concepts
of identity, patriotism and development ideals converge, all framed within the historicist aura that as a republic we inherit
in an unfortunate sense and strictly of order vertical.
