Mi Trabajo se centra en desplegar el accionar de las prácticas artísticas y ampliar sus márgenes de acción. Centrado en encontrar la función social del Arte y generar diálogos entre los simbolismos propios de la materia, la forma, su disposición y las dinámicas sociales en un contexto de identidad y nociones de lo real conjugado con la idea de lo público.
Rodeado del ambiente heredado de “país” en el que se conjuga lo histórico, cultural y político, las periferias sociales y las nociones de territorio son el eje de partida en donde exploro diversos lenguajes que permitan dar una experiencia íntegra sobre la maleabilidad de concepciones de identidad y realidad.
Nutrido por las variables representaciones paisajísticas del territorio nacional, retomo métodos tradicionales conjugados con los modernos que permiten a través de la exploración técnica encontrar nuevas reflexiones que se contextualizan con el devenir contemporáneo, pretendo seducir al público sin mediación alguna más que la presencia de las obras.
Pensar un punto intermedio que facilite el encuentro y diálogo de las dos caras de una Colombia ‘tradicionalmente’ apartadas por linderos sociales y parcelas culturales, por ese intenso abismo entre la ruralidad y la urbanidad (con todos los matices e intermedios que ello supone), es un designio terriblemente necesario.
¿Cómo resanar las sonoras llagas en las subjetividades de la población? ¿Acaso pueden la mediación y resignificación de los valores simbólicos tener un papel central allí? ¿Puede echarse al hombro el arte el poder de cambiar las gramáticas culturales…?

My work focuses on displaying the actions of artistic practices and expanding their margins of action. Focused on finding the social function of Art and generating dialogues between the symbolism of the subject, the form, its arrangement and social dynamics in a context of identity and notions of the real conjugated with the idea of ​​the public.
Surrounded by the environment inherited from "country" in which the historical, cultural and political are combined, the social peripheries and the notions of territory are the starting point where I explore various languages ​​that allow giving an integral experience on the malleability of conceptions of identity and reality.
Nurtured by the variable landscape representations of the national territory, I return to traditional methods combined with modern ones that allow, through technical exploration, to find new reflections that are contextualized with contemporary evolution. I intend to seduce the public without any mediation other than the presence of the works.
Thinking of an intermediate point that facilitates the meeting and dialogue of the two faces of a 'traditional' Colombia separated by social boundaries and cultural plots, because of that intense abyss between rurality and urbanity (with all the nuances and intermediates that this implies), is a terribly necessary design.
How to heal the sonorous sores on the subjectivities of the population? Can the mediation and resignification of symbolic values ​​have a central role there? Can art lean on the power to change cultural grammars ...?
