Fall 2017 Gallery December 12, 2017 | by EAS Selections from the artworks uploaded on Emergent Art Space in the Fall 2017 Lost in ProcessphotographyBarla BhargavVisakhapatnam, IndiaMore infoHere I portray how my mind works when I am creating an art work. The painting that is being created is a self portrait. In the self portrait, the head of the person is superimposed by a camera which is my favourite tool among the other things I am visualising at the time. The idea of removing the head from the human form and replacing it with the self portrait is a representation of how one gets lost on the process of expressing oneself through art.Tangled JourneyOil on CanvasRitika SharmaNew Delhi, IndiaTraveling with Tangled ThoughtsOil on CanvasRitika SharmaNew Delhi, IndiaThe UrgePhotography/PhotoshopSampurna Palkolkata, IndiaThe CityPhotography/PhotoshopSampurna Palkolkata, IndiaUntitledAcrylic sheet, ready made object, masking tape, canvas, lightSumit SadhukhanKolkata, IndiaFrom the Series ‘A Fool’s Epiphany’Digital PhotographyMahrukh BajwaLahore, PakistanFrom the Series ‘A Fool’s Epiphany’Digital PhotographyMahrukh BajwaLahore, PakistanFrom the Series ‘A Fool’s Epiphany’Digital PhotographyMahrukh BajwaLahore, PakistanMonuments of Memory IIIDigital Prints and Found ObjectsSarasija SubramanianNew Delhi, IndiaCompositionStone & BrassSourav HalderKolkata, IndiaMore infoObjective SculptureFor the Urgency of ThinkingMixed Media on Nepali Handmade PaperAryama PalKolkata , IndiaMore info(Still Life with a showpiece of 'The Thinker', a cactus, a rotten orange and a curtain.) Inspired by José Guadalupe Posada's skeleton linoleum prints, I try to remind viewers that life is short and we have to make it worth all that we can as long as we are here; seeing joy in the simple things, like breathing, walking, seeing, and everything else that is easy to overlook because we do them automatically.
