'An Ode to the Tragedy'

In all my paintings, I am referring to a woman who is chaotic, and vulnerable in her own self;
naked because there is no layering in her thoughts. This gives the viewer
an experience that is unsettling, jolting.

My work is being documented as I am suffering from depression. The plethora of emotions I encounter
has become inadvertently the concept of my paintings. These paintings are a part of a project,
where I have tried to articulate the inner monologue of a person going through depression.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

I was born in 1994 in Chhattisgarh, India. I graduated in fine arts from Bharatiya Vidyapeeth, Pune in 2016.
Painting to me is a language to express my inner self, more so my thinking and imagination
which get impacted by the status of my mind.
